IT: Think of expanding to 2 tier cities

Breathing in high spirits from my previous post, I'd like to  rant lambaste, and vent out my thoughts on the initial phase post training in one of the highly sough indian IT industry. To name employers -  TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Polaris and the list can go on. This post attempts to shed light on beginning and settling down in the new space, in an IT company. Unarguably IT industry has provided jobs more than any other domain. It has generated jobs so rapidly in so less a time span that wouldn't have been dared by any other sector. Next, IT industry has been significantly contributing to the Economy. With dollar strengthening against Rupee, they shall continue to mint money, and so shall the employees. With annual hikes there comes purchasing power, be it in jewelry, much fancied smart phones, real estate, or you name it, and so does the government earn from tax. In other sense money flows. Most of these employers are located in metropolises, given to the fact that their

Autopsy en route to improve writing skills

Image
Pic 1: Writing gets me! I had involuntarily threw in the towel to get back to writing. Um, but this harassed me all day, entire time at my work place, nightmares each night, wherever I was, for I'm not doing what I'm not good at yet I strive to get a hold of my writing skills by reading a lot, lot here implies thick classic novels of all time. Writing had me interested yesteryears, to which I've no account.  For me writing should have been a medium to articulate what goes on around me, travels, few lessons here and there, but rather it had me going hither and thither ( as in pic 1). It started to take a great amount of time, for I'm a person who sticks to a certain thing to improve leaving all the remaining stuff until polishing is done. Uh.! But it's really hard to get every petty thing to an impeccable quality. Rather it works the other way round, get an initial draft, release and then toil in to improve existing piece. Next, to get into a second language w

Brace the fear of speaking

Image
Hi There! This post of mine is not to challenge anyone's public speaking skills, to give out debate, or how fluent you're in presenting stuff. Rather my post would roam on the periphery of speaking skills where N people become 2N eyes. With swiftly passed by school education, only very few of the students could participate in debates, speeches in whatsoever event.  With a handful of who stepped forward, are the only few regularly participating in extempore, inter school debate competition.   For this to blame are our orthodox approach in education, at homes, societies, and much of the blame goes to friend circles, as to what they would think, and leg pulling once you've erred. This fear of making mistakes pulls students so hard back to the ground that very few even attempt to get their names in any of school events, like anchoring on 15th of August, or annual function, or during sports week, and events alike. With the phobia sinking in and no one at school or home helping

Adventurous Monday

Image
This is not what I had signed up for. Alas, what is the worth of it doing!? After all, why do it? What would I accomplish from this? Is this what I'm ..., with that I fling another swearing.  Hurling more curses, adjusting and kicking on the chair, I try to focus on my monitor screen,  an over illuminated one. Monitor so agonizingly bright that I might want to wear sun glasses and work for some time, and perhaps hide swollen eyes which refused to open up on the name of Monday. Yikes!! With that, Monday for most, if not all, begins a gory first day of the week. May Lord help to elucidate what went over Sunday that drove to such an awful worn-out yet sunny, and shiny Monday. Having unable to demystify of went past day, I pour a hot brewing cup of coffee. Savoring it, stirring melting the un-melted sugar, gazing at it - forcing my eyes to adjust, smelling, soaking in the bean smell mustering power to beat numbness.  Despite futile attempts, trudging into the black hole of cou

Darn those tags of 100 crore collections

Image
With an immense power and emergence of social media, there rose a new bubble of marketing in Hindi film industry, Bollywood - 100 Crore club. Bollywood - start studded industry, entertaining millions of people, generating umpteen number of item numbers, contributing significantly to the Economy; still, one of the highly sought stage for actors, and artists. Post first half decade of millennium, Bollywood metamorphosed into an industry armed with appealing yet trivial dialogues, cheap item songs, bringing in new action scenes robbed from Tollywood, spectacular vistas from overseas. Along with these, came flashing 6 packs from actors, skinny actresses, which added the final condiment to send back viewers home, with an awe. But, then, there came the tag of 100 crores of money minted, which raised the bar, and set new standards of any movie irrespective, of it's genre, cast, story, and the targeted audience. I regret to say, that the bolder the tag gets, the lower industry is

Make India, before - make In India

Image
With all fanfare BJP government has launched a vivid, futuristic campaign to boost economy, strengthen the much tottering infrastructure of  developing Indian nation. The motive of this program is as clear as the name goes, to bring in the investment, thrive on the manufacturing units. PM with its forte of marketing has publicized this at the full throttle. Evidently, this has definitely gathered attention from masses, not to mention praises of new initiatives. I daresay, these are the vital measures to be taken if we wish uplift the financial domain, and to keep the sentiments high in stock market. However, I, to some extent do not concur to this highly talked campaign and its salient points, statistics, which might have kept many geeks on toes. To make In India, government and people first and foremost should Make India. Government may have forgotten these crucial things, before marching toward a highly ambitious goal:- Transport: With ever exploding population of India,

The windy city

Hello All, This is yet another post on my travel. Perhaps, I should change my blog to a travelogue. First, it's been a long long break I took from writing, not that I've no more interest to write, or have been running away to tailor my thoughts. Like many out there, and as always, things don't fall onto place at the time you can gather them up. By the time you start collecting, you either lose your senses, or motivation starts backing off. Might sound like an excuse, but it is the truth, indeed. Like that, I sway away all the times, into one or the idea and thus, face an insurmountable challenge to jab down the keys. Hopefully I would not drown this time. Yummiest Pizza Memorial day, day which revers the fallen in United States. A long weekend. Weather at its peak bloom, and pleasantness. I have had an another shot to travel, with a friend of mine and destination chosen for this vacation was Chicago. Chicago is infamous for its cold, especially the cold win

Finally a trip to nature

Image
Hey there, It's been a long time I have found time to write. There are couple of posts which are still, as always in drafts. I do tend to write them, but then punch backspace key, dismissing there flow with the previously written draft. Let them rest as they are. They would be fetched out soon. Fingers crossed. With Spring commencement, and pleasant sunny days, I've had this amazing opportunity to go into nature on 19th April 2015. Perhaps, it was the first in many ways: in The States, after my under graduation, not with family, no pilgrimage outing, no rush to complete or submit things, no friends and first ever hike of my life. I grew up watching trails alike on Discovery channel/Animal Planet; to name a few: crocodile hunter by animal planet, a few latest and more adrenaline fueled ones are I shouldn't be alive and Man Vs Wild.     I wanted to try and learn how to be in nature, how you take a day off from addictive and annoying technologies. A day, time
