Finally a trip to nature

Hey there,

It's been a long time I have found time to write. There are couple of posts which are still, as always in drafts. I do tend to write them, but then punch backspace key, dismissing there flow with the previously written draft. Let them rest as they are. They would be fetched out soon. Fingers crossed.

With Spring commencement, and pleasant sunny days, I've had this amazing opportunity to go into nature on 19th April 2015. Perhaps, it was the first in many ways: in The States, after my under graduation, not with family, no pilgrimage outing, no rush to complete or submit things, no friends and first ever hike of my life. I grew up watching trails alike on Discovery channel/Animal Planet; to name a few: crocodile hunter by animal planet, a few latest and more adrenaline fueled ones are I shouldn't be alive and Man Vs Wild.

I wanted to try and learn how to be in nature, how you take a day off from addictive and annoying technologies. A day, time when you are in no nexus with any working cellular phones, laptops. I went to Billy Goat trail, it's a 30 mins drive from Washington, DC.
Trail was a relatively easy hike, with rock scrambles, shore on the line, fresh air. To compliment these vibrant attributes, the weather was at its best, cool breeze, sunny, and sometimes cloudy. Trail was 4 miles round trip, with your own lunch, and water. On the trail, you'd see few kayakers, paddling. Here and there you'd be fortunate to see goose.
We stopped few times, clicking off photos, munching lunch, but then we continued to reach out more fun hidden in woods.
To give a final touch to trip, we went to check water falls; before you arrive at the major one, you would cross 2-3 relatively smaller ones. With water trashing and hitting rocks. Emanating sound you would want to preserve in your mind for an eternal period. You live-in those moments and arrive at the dead end, where there is no way ahead and facing huge fall, with speedy winds whipping your face, still you'd not want to take your eyes off the captivating fall. The rapids were gigantic, speed, and loud noise were themselves engaging.

With an amazing finish to our trail we routed off to our van, and as one would have expected we were drained, though gradually gained our senses to thank trip organizers and bid them Bye.
It was an amazing time off into the woods away from gadgets, and perennial mails.

Hoping and looking forward to more such adventure.
Before that I got to buy hiking boots, and few other gears! Ahem.
