Still unconquerable!

Paris, the international capital of style, land where every lover would like to take his/her heart.

Pss! it was easy to trick you. Paris is also the destination for one of the heavily charged games of the year. Mightiest game, Rolland Garros, commonly known as The French Open. It has been the most exhilarating events on Tennis calendar. Not because of its red colored soil, but due to its intense collision between charismatic players, thick air of tension, endless energy, unlimited enthusiasm and the eternal greed to win. French Open is considered to be most physically grueling of all the tennis games.

I am writing this post too late after French Open finale between Djoker and Nadal.
Rafa defeated 2013's Wimbledon champ in semi finals, winning all the sets; announcing his opponents not to enter his realm.
On the finals, weather was excruciating, making both players endure rough conditions. Only the toughest could strive relentlessly. The game started in favor of Djokovic, he took the first set and seemed making his path to achieve the unachievable. With entry in later set(s), match took turn as expected toward Nadal. Djokovic had invested his last ounce of energy to conquer, he threw up twice, perhaps unable to bear the brunt of blistering and scorching sun. At the end of the match, Rafa was seen with his legs cramped up, tottering, yet bit his beloved Trophy, as has been his signature to French Open.

Rafa is still indomitable in French Open and so has been baptized, The King of Clay. He has been on 9 times winning streak, no one has out-beaten him yet. Out of 14 grand slams, Rafa has won 9 in French Open. Inching steadily and slowly toward Federer's mark of fame.
Had Djokovic outdone him, would have lifted his 1st French Open cup. He would not have alone moved the immovable Rafa, but would have become the 8th player to win 4 grand slams in a row.

It was a breath stopping match. One for which we have always yearned for. How else could you have enjoyed Sunday, if not watching these two beasts grunting and smashing rackets?
As Rafa bit his 9th trophy, sinks in the immortal yet transient feeling of success. Rafa has been considered as greatest of all time. With his 9th win in French Open he has shut all the yapping mouths and displayed his dominance on clay, as ever it has been.
Lets wait for another year and we would witness, another page added to the annals of Tennis for Djkovic, may be?
Oh yea, Wimbledon is on its way, would Federer be able to add another feather to his cap?
